Benefits of the EFF Work Readiness Credential

Workforce System

"At the One Stops we need to begin by asking our customers where they are now, what skills they bring with them rather than what deficiencies they have. The EFF tools will help our customers figure out where they are now.".

-- Bob Santare, CEO, Champion Fasteners
Chairperson, Burlington County Workforce Investment Board

The Workforce Readiness Credential can improve the focus, alignment, and accountability of the workforce development system. It can provide a unifying force within the workforce system, instilling confidence among stakeholders, particularly the private sector. In addition, it can:

  • Facilitate a common understanding among employers, workers and educators about the skills necessary to obtain employment.

  • Help align the system to a common real world goal.

  • Promote the development of programs that are appropriate to employer and workers needs.

  • Provide a single set of standards to assess program performance and hold vendors accountable.
