Benefits of the EFF Work Readiness Credential

Benefits for Educators/Trainers

The EFF Work Readiness Credential provides a clear, comprehensive picture of what jobseekers need to know and be able to do to be successful in entry level work. As a result educators and trainers can use it:

  • To develop curricula that really does prepare students for the workplace.

  • To help learners with goal setting. For those learners with an employment goal it presents an explicit picture of what you need to know and be able to do, hence a guide for setting learning goals.

  • To provide students with a way to document they are work ready.

  • To evaluate the effectiveness of their instruction.

  • To increase credibility of programs with local businesses.

Educators can be involved in several ways.

  • Download Getting Ready for the Work Readiness Credential: A Guide for Trainers and Instructors.

  • Use Getting Ready to make sure your curriculum addresses the full profile.

  • Share with us learning activities you’ve developed to build work readiness in your classroom.

  • Find out about how your program can become a testing site for the EFF Work Readiness Credential.

  • Let us know what impact the Credential has on learners in your program.
