Benefits of the EFF Work Readiness Credential

Benefits for Employers

The EFF Work Readiness Credential is backed by businesses and industry associations from across the USA.

"By combining industry skill standards with the EFF Standards, this project can assure employers that workers will be able to develop meaningful careers and contribute to the society in which we all live."

--Kathryn Mance, Vice President, National Retail Federation Foundation
  • The EFF Work Readiness Credential is an assessment tool that defines, measures and certifies that individuals have the knowledge, skills and abilities they need to succeed in entry level work.

  • Based on a cross-industry consensus of the critical tasks entry level workers need to be able to perform, the credential provide a reliable and accurate tool for screening job applicants. It can:
    • help busineses identify a pool of qualified applicants for entry level work.
    • help cut the costs of hiring and employee turnover.
    • help to create a workforce that learns.

  • Based on a nationally validated standard, the credential will enable businesses with offices across the country to achieve the same high quality workforce in every location.
