EFF Professional Development and Facilitator Certification

Calendar of EFF Workshops

EFF can help you to expand the capacity of your professional development efforts in two ways:

1. EFF's network of nationally certified trainers can provide a variety of workshops ranging from an orientation of standards-based instruction to research-based reading practices.
2. In conjunction with utilizing national trainers, your own staff can become certified as EFF facilitators in order to provide ongoing EFF training in your state system. By selecting a cadre of practitioners and/or staff to complete the certification process, you can expand your professional development capacity and ensure a system for quality training and technical assistance.

Facilitator Certification

The EFF certification process ensures the quality and consistency of professional development coordinated by the Equipped for the Future at the Center for Literacy Studies. Individuals involved in the certification process gain knowledge of EFF and increase their expertise as facilitators. As they advance through the process, with coaching and technical assistance provided by the Center and the EFF national trainer assigned to be their mentor, they increase their capacity to guide a state or organization through an implementation process that includes the planning, training and evaluation of its effectiveness.
